Description of Resource

The story of a young Hmong girl who stitches a pa’ndau, an embroidered cloth, to tell her story of escaping Laos, living in a Thai refugee camp, and coming to the U.S.  The author based the story of the young girl and the pa’ndau’s story upon her experience of refugees at the Ban Vinai camp in Thailand. 

Recommended for ages 6 and up.
